Carmel + James // The Elvetham, Hampshire Wedding, UK

“…in these photos you have made memories that we will treasure forever.
What an amazing thing it is to be able to say that you have brought that to someone else!…”

Carmel and James’ stunning wedding took place at The Elvetham, in Hampshire.  Carmel had flown to London from Hong Kong a few weeks before the big day and we had taken the opportunity for a coffee in Camden, London to run through the plans for the day.  The feel for the wedding was glitz and glam and wowsers is all I can say.

Working alongside Sejal from The Tale of Two (Wedding Planner) and the staff at The Elvetham was a dream. Sejal was super-organised and her hands on approach meant that the day ran like clockwork. I truly look forward to working with Sejal again in the future.

As I arrived at The Elvetham, I was greeted with beautiful sunshine on what I can only describe as a venue from a fairytale (and you will see later that Carmel made quite the princess… that dress!!). Carmel and James’ ceremony was in the afternoon which meant that as we left the ceremony the sun had nearly set.  This gave us the opportunity to dash outside to get some shots with the blue tinge still in the sky. Carmel and James braved the cold like pros and the results were beautiful.

The venue took on a life of its own once the sun had set… candles flickered everywhere, with sparkly lights and THAT marquee (I mean, really, scroll down and see the marquee!!!). With the black tie affair in full swing, the party really did get started and it was fun, smiles and laughter all the way through.

It was an absolute pleasure to capture Carmel and James’ day.  Their family and friends were such a lovely bunch and it was a pleasure to see my 2014 out with such a blast (quite literally, see the fireworks below!).
